Welcome to my web site. The painting above, "Razzle-Dazzle (A Camellia Breaks Free!)" is currently on display in the State of the Art/Art of the State Exhibit at the Cameron Art Museum, Wilmington, North Carolina. The show runs through October, 20, 2011.
Over the years, I have experimented extensively with different techniques, and recently my paintings have become more expressive and impressionistic. Today my efforts are targeted at developing truly luminous paintings while retaining rich dark colors and opaque impasto strokes. My work is informed largely by the transparent layering techniques of the Masters and by the luminous work of Maxfield Parrish. I am more concerned with the painting surface than the subject and, my goal is to produce representational and abstract paintings that appear to glow from within.

My paintings are now listed under the "Works" link. "Available Paintings" are in the first collection and any individually listed show may also list available works. Sold works can be views in the collections devoted to subject or style.
